Graphics of Oscar Warbach, 1950-1982.

Record group 94-185 contains original graphs, charts, and a few drawings (on 9" x 14" poster board) of Oscar Warbach. Most of these graphs were designed to show the public the operations of the Wildlife Division. They also inform those in charge of funding of how program money was being spent and future funding needs. Most of these graphics were printed in the Michigan natural resources magazine. Includes charts on deer herd population, deer pellet surveys, and coyote population.

Oscar "Ozz" Warbach was a conservation illustrator of national reputation. He was born on March 21, 1913 and grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He earned a B.S. in animal husbandry from Rutgers University in 1935, and a B.S. in zoology from Michigan State University in 1938. He joined the Michigan Department of Conservation as a game biologist in 1941. After service in World War II, he moved to Maryland.
